Test Overview

The Office Skills-Computer Literacy Test assesses an individual's computer literacy skills. It focuses on a wide range of computer concepts ranging from computer security and an understanding of search engine and browser functions to a general knowledge of operating systems, networking and the most popular Microsoft Office applications. Scores for Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels are provided.

Computer Terminology

Degree to which the candidate has a general understanding of basic computer terminology.

Search Engine

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about general search engine functions.

Computer Security

Degree to which the candidate has a general understanding of secure computer practices.

Browser

Degree to which the candidate has a general understanding of browser terminology and functions.

Windows

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Windows Operating System.

Mac OS

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Mac Operating System.

Outlook

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Microsoft Outlook software program.

Networking

Degree to which the candidate has a general understanding of basic computer networking.

Word

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Microsoft Word software program.

Excel

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Microsoft Excel software program.

PowerPoint

Degree to which the candidate is knowledgeable about various functions within the Microsoft PowerPoint software program.
